What could have been done different in the 80s? I dunno. I'm not an economist. But while I find some displays of joy over this rather distateful (she's been irrelevant for over a decade now), I can understand where the anger comes from.
This is an excellent point.
While I find celebrating
the death of another human being to be tactless at best and downright repugnant at worst, when a person of such civil significance passes, it's important that we don't burry our heads in the sand for the day out of some false pretense of "respect." Doing so would be equally disrespectful to those directly effected by her policies and actions.
Yada, yada, yada. Blah, Blah, Blah.
