as a culprit to anything? Sure, these people will recognize the chance of a malfunction, but it's implausible that they would personify it by saying "M-5 must be going mad!" or "The computer did it!".
Unless, of course, we're talking about Richard Daystrom. But then again, the entire point was that he was stark raving mad.
