Yes, it does. It's an interesting theory, too. Not only the birth itself, but also how Odo's body works when he's a solid. I never analysed it, as I never needed it for any of my fanfics, but I always wondered if under his external humanoid look he copies the internal organs or he is either his natural liquid, or something similar, like jello from your theory.

That opens a lot of possibilities from stories about Odo, doesn't it?
