Restaurateur Oliver Peyton was on radio this am discussing our current
horsemeat scandal and mentioned how demand for vegetarian at his restaurants had increased in recent months. But the figure I found shocking was when he said we throw away over fifty per cent of vegetable crops. What a waste.
