Teresa Palmer: Lady of the Week #6 (Feb. 2013)

Teresa Palmer
(Warm Bodies, Take Me Home Tonight, I Am Number Four)
Thumbs up= Thumbs down= Thumbs sideways=

Born and raised in Australia, Teresa Palmer had been harboring dreams of becoming an actress ever since she was a little girl. Her first acting job was dressing up as Strawberry Shortcake and Santa's Little Helper on weekends for promotions in shopping centers. Palmer's first break came in 2003 when, after spotting a billboard advertisement, she entered and won an Australian talent competition called Search for a Movie Star. One of her prizes was a year’s worth of acting classes. At the age of 18, she was cast as the lead in the independent Australian film 2:37, leading to a nomination for the Australian Film Institute Award for Beast Lead Actress and signing with a talent agent. Palmer made her Hollywood debut in The Grudge 2.
A funny new twist on a classic love story, Warm Bodies is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human -- setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
