Excepting GREED and CLEOPATRA, I've seen all the Best Picture winners, and between 66-80 percent of the acting nominees for the silent years. While early films are coming out on DVD more often, some remain currently lost. GREED is still not yet out on DVD, incomplete or otherwise. In order to maintain five major nominees per category, there are occasional ''best guesses'' for nominations for the acting. By 1930 if not earlier, with very rare exceptions, all acting noms have been seen and all winners are awarded sight seen.
