One can respect your right to hold and express the opinion "the public hates books," but not the content of the opinion itself; it's not worthy. Whether one calls it nonsense, unobservant, or "bullshit," it all comes to the same thing.

I had steak and a loaded baked potato for dinner on Sunday.
As a steak I enjoyed it a lot, but as macaroni and cheese I thought it was disappointing.
