I'm only calling for a boycott if JJ doesn't say the following when it comes to directing the new Star Wars film.
"I am not making this for Star Wars fans. I am making this for movie fans."
Since he's an outspoken fan of Star Wars and NOT a fan of Star Trek, I highly doubt he'll say anything as condescending towards his fan favorite franchise. |
Apples and oranges. Star Wars does not have the same stigma to overcome, or the same well-deserved reputation for being inaccessible for anyone outside of the core fanbase.
