"Unremarkable?" I couldn't disagree more. It's as good as any of Steiner's TOS work and is one of the most outstanding episode scores in all of TNG. And the scores by John Debney and Don Davis (who both did, in fact, write music for SeaQuest) are both very solid work, a nice change from the usual TNG sound. I consider that disc to be the strongest in the set, not the weakest. The Chattaway disc, on the other hand, is quite disappointing. |

That's really what I was getting at, both Davis' and Debney's scores were great and I liked there work on seaQuest a lot. But I'd wished they further expanded on the Chattaway/McCarthy work instead of full episode scores from one-time composers. Some great cues of the top of my head from episodes like The Survivors, Family, Timescape, The Wounded I'd love to have released. Its a shame more volumes have not followed.
