You wouldn't catch me dead in Berlin at that night. (In fact, chances are not all that low that I would actually be dead afterwards) There's a lot of crime, riots, people getting killed or severely injured. Lots of attacks against foreigners. Plus the crowd, noise, drunks, drugs...

Well,
I didn't make that (fantasy?) plan - but with a year to plan what to do and where to go (and -especially- what
not to do and where
not to go) I would consider it a decent plan for a
different night on the town.
Besides, once the ones that came up with that plan had shared it with the rest of us we came up with a counter-attack and suggested taking x-mas
and new years eve in London instead...
