Well, in TNG they have had to use two elements from TMP thus far, the Klingon ships and the V-Ger transformation effect for Tin Man. They found the VFX elements and rescanned/recomped in HD. So *maybe* they are around somewhere? Wishful thinking I know but they could be out there in a salt mine or something.
