Mostly because of Artemis Fowl. I couldn't even finish the first book because I got so disgusted with the prose and the character Artemis. Very rarely do I not finish a book but this one of the exceptions.
As a result, I was very disappointed that Colfer was selected to write And Another Thing. I read a few pages here and there in the book store and I didn't like what I read so I haven't bothered with it.
