Perhaps you aren't aware that several months ago, Tor Books began making all its e-books (including my own Only Superhuman) available DRM-free, which, if I understand it correctly, means you do actually own it and can make a backup copy, lend it to a friend, etc.
Even though it's DRM-free, I'd be very surprised if I actually OWNED the copy.
Which reminds me. I've been planning on buying an e-copy (I already have the hardcover) of Only Superhuman
to read over the holiday break. I'll actually try and track down & read the licensing agreement and report back. Frankly, I'll be gobsmacked if it turns out I actually own it, rather than just license it.
