Quite a few people think Marianne Jean-Baptiste is too because she's appeared more on
Without A Trace than UK tv
(and is in Robocop reboot I read somewhere)
I think Patterson Joseph has been more talked-up than Elba as potential Doc, maybe because has comedy chops as well.
