True confession: one of the reasons I finally got around to writing
The Rings of Time was that I realized that the window was closing if I was going to squeeze Shaun Christopher's Saturn mission into "our" history like I did with the EW books.
Since I set the mission in 2020, that gives the book seven good years before it's an alternate history!
