I was just flicking through eps on DVD, and I'm dying to see how the recreated Nagilum effect will look. I'm assuming they still had the unwarped footage of Earl Boen in the archives, so I'm wondering if the effect will be 100% faithful or if it will noticeably benefit from newer effects technology.
Same goes for the low-rent morphing in The Dauphin. Will they smooth out the dissolves just a little bit more? (I'm guessing probably not, seeing as the stop motion in Conspiracy remained the same.) I prefer when they stick closely to the original effects, but I'm never against these kind of minor tweaks.
Nagilum, from what I can see, has been re-done in CGI.
The Dauphin morphs are indeed smoothed out with CGI.
