More or less. It's slightly wider (and cropped) compared to the Bluray version. Maybe about 1cm difference each side on my 32" screen. |
If my math is right*, (and assuming you are in a 1:1 mode on both of your inputs) that would make it about 1.38:1 aspect ratio... which seems like a completely unnecessary alteration.
* This assumes your HDTV dimensions are approx. 39.624 cm x 70.358 cm.
