^Exactly. Seasons of around 13 episode in length have been standard on cable for a couple of
decades now, and many broadcast network seasons are that short as well, though usually only the underperforming ones. So I'm bewildered by this perception that it's somehow a novelty for American shows. It's already pretty standard.
