She does say at one point that her friends will be wondering why she and Rory are aging so fast.
(Don't know if it's necessary in this thread, but spoilers ahead for the lastest episode.)
This, and similar hints over the last few episodes, had me thinking this would play a role somehow in ending the Ponds' story, but, apart from being vague hints at "living out your life at a time you don't belong", it didn't really come in.
Now all I want is to warn earth: watch Farscape... and share the wonders I've seen.
It's Tolkien, not Tolkein.
