I will second the earlier suggestions of
Bones and
Murdoch Mysteries. Last I checked they are both on Netflix instant watch. I started watching Bones from the beginning last year, and it quickly became one of my favorite TV shows. A little slow in the first 4-5 episodes, but after that it really took off in my opinion.
