No.. the one time that happened Ted picked the wrong class (it was his first time as professor). It was just a tease within the show and i'm pretty sure that really obsessed fans started to analyze the pictures and look for the mother  |
That whole season built up to the notion that he only got to know the mother because he became professor and she was in that class.
