Re: PICTURE POST II!

^Nice pics -very 'unreal'

This month I've been making three different bitters:

(Left to right)
Achillea millefolium.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achillea_millefolium
Clusters of the flower is used.
Primary traditional uses: Reducing fever and/or enhancing appetite.

Hypericum perforatum.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypericum_perforatum
The yellow, not yet opened, flowers are used.
(The essence is darker red).
Primary traditioanl use: Mild antidepressant.

Rosa rugosa.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosa_rugosa
Petals are used.
Primary traditional use: Mild sedative.

Yet to come is the 'bitter' produced with the hips from Rosa rugosa -and possibly hazelnuts -and maybe walnuts -and definitely whataretheycalled? small orange berries... I'll post about that at a later date...
