Yeah, it was a time that MTV actually broadcasted music.. oh and Beavis and Butthead... hu hu hu yeah uh hu hu... 
There has been good music in the 80's but also stuff beyond bad... and don't mention the hair and costumes of those days.. 
Oh and some series even had Tangerine Dream performing the intro music..
