I don't think you watched nearly enough, then, since "tweeny" doesn't make sense at all. If I interpret that right, you're referring to "tweens," which is a slang term for children between 10 and 12 years old, and that's absolutely not the target audience for
Buffy and
Angel, which were definitely for older teens and adults only with plenty of sex and violence -- not to mention plenty of mature, sophisticated characterization and exploration of the themes of becoming an adult and facing the responsibilities and painful transitions that come with it.
Angel in particular skewed older than
Buffy, since it didn't deal with high school or college or maturation and was more about adult characters.
