74. Dangerous Liasons (A)
Having seen several Stephen Frears films, he's an interesting director because he's very good but at the same time I have a hard time identifying any particular style or themes he favours. This is usually held up as one of his best, and it deserves that distinction. The costume design is among the best I've ever seen on film, and the acting is of a high calibre (save for Keanu Reeves, but he's barely in the movie, and his character is intended to be bland anyway).
