Yeah, I just looked it up on youtube. That would have pissed people off unnecessarily, but it could have worked well.

Although, watching Peter Jackson's explanation (this was about Frodo. Aragorn's heroism isn't in the duel against the enemy, it was in making a stand for Frodo), I'm glad they kept it the way it was.
