Quite right. "Sulu" isn't even a Japanese name; it's the name of a sea in the Philippines. Sulu was meant to represent a "pan-Asian" heritage. (The name "Sulu" is so un-Japanese, in fact, that in the Japanese dub they renamed him Kato.) |
