So you guys would rather have the "gosh, golly, gee whiz" Billy back? The one with absolutely no room for character devolpment in the last 50 years? I would rather have a paint by numbers jerk to hero quest set up, than go back to that again.
It's really not the best direction to go with Billy.

. It's a very good exploration of a kid who has been endowed with powers no man should have and basically in over his head . The whole last issue with his dead friend and revealing his identity to Superman really is probably the best depiction of Captain Marvel I have seen.
