I guess I assumed it was a super-jump akin to what he did the first time he made his way out to Brainiac/The Collector's ship. But that raises the question... if you can jump
off the planet, defying gravity entirely... is flying all that far away?
It's one of those things that could have been made a little more clear, though, admittedly.
