Thomas Jane made his directorial debut with this film about a newly married couple drivin' across the dessert at night when they find a mysterious accident victim on the dark highway.

Jane stars, and Ron Perlman has a small role as a sheriff.

There's a mix of location shootin' in New Mexico and painfully obvious green screen. I thought it was a bit too stylized, not enough substance, and the twist doesn't make a whole lot of sense, really...

I'd say its worth watchin'...ya can probably rent the Disney/American release somewhere. The prints the Drafthouse are showin' are restored originals, with the Japanese dialogue & english subtitles.
