^ I like that. The way I see it is that The Sandman
(which I consider to be the genre's best lengthy series) is beholden only to the continuity that we see expressed in its pages, if that. The narrative seemed to take place in real time, which would obviously put it at odds with the "floating timeline" of the main DCU.
