Went out to a new restaurant
that opened up about a month and a half ago near us, breaking my usual rule of giving a restaurant a 60 - 90-day period after opening to work out the kinks. There were still some kinks (we sat at the bar, which desperately needed another person working behind it, and our appetizer arrived only a few minutes before our entrees), but the food was excellent
-- I had a mushroom fontina burger, which had an entire grilled and sliced portobello mushroom cap atop the burger patty, which was utterly amazing, while my wife had a pulled brisket sandwich with the most delicious garlic aioli I've ever tasted. And
they didn't charge me for my club soda, even though I had three refills, which nicely offset the $7 beer my wife had.
