Re: So What Are you Reading?: Generations
I finally managed to get through Paths of Disharmony. I was disappointed in how little Shar had to do with the story. Overall I found the Typhon Pact books underwhelming - not bad, but not compelling either.
Now reading Indistinguishable from Magic. I'm intrigued by the story, but I'm finding the shorter-than-usual scenes kind of distracting. Usually when a book has such rapid POV changes, it's building suspense and anticipation toward a climax of some sort. And that might be what's going on here, but I'm about 1/4 of the way through the book, and so far it feels like I'm constantly climbing the first hill of a roller coaster without ever reaching the top.
This is our small proof, not only that things can be done differently in this business, but that the greatest expression of rebellion is joy.
