Since the entire season accomplished nothing except for the cliffhanger, I have to wonder why they didn't just have Deb discover Dexter at the end of the fifth season.
And, boy, the cliffhanger wasn't set up at all
. Debra wandering into the Church is so removed from the rest of the episode that it seems like a late minute after thought included so that something of consequence happened this season. At least the fifth season built to that final moment (though, of course, it resolved things with a terrible cop-out).
Terrible, terrible, terrible.
And "Nebraska" wasn't even the worst of the season. If it's one of the worst television episodes of the year, then several other episodes of season six would also qualify.
