came pretty close to describing hyperlinks and the WWW in the 1930s - being pre WW2 and electronic computers, his Memex system and its "associative trails" would have been based on microfilm technology. Not a SF author but his ideas were circulated widely and well regarded. He's also purported to have been a member of Majestic 12 if you give that any credence.
