^Yes, *very small*, as I said and I was thinking more of an unconscious cultural thing rathing than accusing anyone of being out-and-out prejudiced.
As for your examples; though those are all indeed "strong" female characters, none of them were really strong leaders (though you could probably argue either way for Ripley, depending on which film she's in.) Laura Roslin from Galactica might be a better example. I suppose Carter, Weir and Wray from the Stargate shows count too, but it's not as clear cut.
As for Janeway...her characterisation was written all over the place, so I don't think I'd count her as a strong leadership character.
