I believe it's a sapphire.

It's such a simple clue and I didn't get it. I don't know my gemstones and didn't know that the rock was a star sapphire. I looked up gemstones trying to figure out what it was. "Sun stone" was actually one of my guesses. I also knew that Blake Lively's character becomes a Star Sapphire, but I didn't make the connection between that and the clue because their outfits and power rings are violet and that stone is blue-ish.
