MGM and Screen Gems are moving forward with a new version of Stephen King's Carrie. Deadline has word that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has been brought aboard to draft the screenplay.

Release in 1974, Carrie was King's first published novel and tell the story of a high school girl who, through telekinetic powers, takes revenge on peers that have mocked her.

The original film got a sequel and also another tv remake. You know that Hollywood has ran out of ideas when they start remaking movies that already had a remake.
It's going to SUCK!!!!

Hollywood is more about making money than making good cinema.

Seems to be the trend these days. Take News outlets...they are more about their political agenda than reporting the news accurately and without bias.

We are living in the dark ages again.
