that was a very deep, deep episode. i tried to think... what if i was part of that crew. boy, did that ending depress me.
its amazing how ive seen star trek touch base on things that other shows cant. like the silver bloods, or how the EMH doctor wants to be considered sentient. AND especially DS9 with its terrorism, religion, fanatic stories.
