Last night was pretty simple, just whole wheat pasta (shells, since I had forgotten we were out of linguine and spaghetti) aglio e olio
. I've been sick as a dog since Monday afternoon, so I really didn't have the energy to cook anything more complex. The nice thing about aglio e olio
is that the biggest part of the cooking time is just heating the pasta water, since you can chop your garlic while the water gets to a boiling point, and you don't need to start heating the oil until you throw the pasta into the pot.
