I agree that the quality of the show has gradually declined since about the middle of Season 2. The jokes have gradually gotten less smart and more mainstream. But I still think it's funny. Season 3 was still funny, IMHO.
I actually think the biggest drop in quality came with Season 4. It's relied too much on generic sitcom humor so far. Though the most recent episode with Penny's father was quite good, it was a bit of an exception. |
The problem it faces that all shows face is the shiny new factor has worn off so its never going to have the same sppeal it had early on. Saying that TBBT is still the best comedy on tv at the moment and the last 2 episodes have been real crackers.
