Rush; your characters actually sound like they're having genuine conversations. The dialogue is very easy to follow but also complex, and the whole thing is really smooth, natural even. It's very easy to "get into" your take on the Trek world and its characters. Even though your take on Dax and Bashir is - as you know
- quite different from mine, you put a lot of effort into their relationship as you see it, and the characterizations really do hold together, whatever the reader's personal angle. I like the Tarses/Dax professional friendship, too.
