Yeh "noble" not quite the mot juste but couldn't put my hand on the right word. I'm aiming for the idea that after all her very recent troubles with these exact Borg she's still sufficiently big-hearted/idealistic/noble/whatever to champion Dena. |
I missed this comment somehow the first time. "Idealistic" nails Maren completely. She's got an innate sense of fairness and justice, and will fight for what she sees as right even if it hurts her. With time and a little maturity, that idealism could develop into something resembling nobility. Right now, she's still just a bit too green, and her worldview is a little too myopic -- everything is colored by her own personal experience. She forgets the bigger picture sometimes.
