I can testify to that. A number of elements (especially backstory) I used in the unfilmed "Atlantis Invaders" came from others working on the production. Considering how much "borrowing" goes on in fan productions, I'm certain that the plot element in question could have been tweaked so that I would have been seen as anything much more than an homage, but Dennis was right to raise the red flag on the principle and have it cut.
