This was one of the first Trek fan-fic stories I remember reading on-line (before I discovered Trek BBS.) I was struck then, as now, by how very
well-written it was and how you portrayed a bruised and battered Starfleet with hand-me-down ships and characters who were in way
over their heads. I was hooked by the Gibraltar
saga and still am. This series in large part inspired me to write my own series about an elderly border cutter and its eclectic cast of characters.
Glad to see you repost this first story of Captain Sandhurst and "The Little Ship that Could." In the words of the immortal Bob Hope, "Thanks for the memories!"
