Last movie I watched in 2009 was 1939's
"Bringing Up Baby". 60 years after being made, it held up very well. Saw it on the plane (which has a 'classics' movie section) on the way to my vacation. One of the many Cary Grant-starring movies I've enjoyed in recent years that is highlighted by delightful banter between he and a female co-star.
The plot deliberately gets ridiculously convoluted and its complications and the relentless banter get a little tiresome at points, but overall it's a throughly enjoyable movie. The ending seems a bit too pat and convenient, but the performances from start to finish were lovely, so I'm glad I saw it.
