I know. I kinda flinched when I wrote it, too.
But...for this tale, I relied heavily on Star Charts
, and I knew I had to pick a location close enough to Starbase 24 (which I also discovered, via the charts, to be the most logical
place to pick up Spock) to believably use that device--to keep the groan as slight as possble.
Regulus fit the bill...I guess.
The interaction between Ezri and Spock remains utterly convincing. Somehow, I think I know who will be accompanying Spock...
