If
Charlie's Angels and
The Love Boat can co-exist in the same universe as
Fantasy Island, If the
X-Files can co-exist in the same universe as the
Law and Order franchise and still be "real", then
New Frontier can co-exist with the other Trek series and still be considered "real"
Star Trek as well.
