Yeah, I didn't really appreciate the movie's perpetuating negative stereotypes about Star Trek fans either. I didn't find the movie very insightful or entertaining. It just made me feel sorry for all the terribly screwed up people in it, and even made me a little ashamed of being a Star Trek fan, just because it sort of associates me with those weirdos by default.
Denise Crosby is cool, though. I met her at a convention once. I was too shy to say anything but "it was nice to meet you"
