I thought Starbuck's character improved in the final season. I found the whole Lee/Starbuck/Sam triangle tedious and her character suffered for it. Towards the end she was thinking about others (taking care of Sam, Adama and his ship, etc) rather than herself and it was a refreshing change for her.
Besides that we still got to see her and Lee "kicking ass and taking names" which is always fun.
